We study how genetic, cellular and environmental factors contribute to and influence stem cell and nervous system development. •Our mission is to use a systems-level approach to enhance understanding of fundamental mechanisms that orchestrate stem cell transformation into specialized cells and tissues. Our ultimate goal is to help build better therapies and cures for neurodevelopmental defects and cancer. To this end, we will collaborate with researchers and share results and reagents in a collegial manner. Please email Dr. Uribe, rosa.uribe@rice.edu for contacting the lab about projects.
•The Uribe lab fosters inclusivity within our group and for all those with whom we interact. We strive to disseminate our scientific findings to the scientific and non-scientific communities and to train the next generation of scientists.
